Oggi a Floridia Misericordia e Nuova Acropoli insieme per celebrare la “giornata mondiale del volontariato” in campo con un unico obiettivo quotidiano: diffondere la cultura del volontariato per dare una mano a chi si trova in difficoltà. Nella sede operativa della nostra associazione, in via Labriola, la giornata è stata occasione di confronto e scambio tra i volontari delle due associazioni di volontariato ciascuna per i propri fini e competenze ma anche condivisione con la popolazione intervenuta. Infatti i volontari di Nuova Acropoli hanno illustrato le loro competenze, in protezione civile, con la descrizione del modulo antincendio in loro dotazione. I volontari della Misericordia oltre a descrivere la storia del movimento e dell’associazione hanno fatto una panoramica delle attività istituzionali di trasporto socio-sanitario, formazione sanitaria e di carità. Per i fini di protezione civile, con l’intervento di un’unità cinofila della Fraternita, i volontari hanno simulato l’attività di ricerca e soccorso di un disperso(guarda il video). Infine un ringraziamento, oltre ai volontari delle due associazioni, in particolare va al geometra Giuseppe Latina della Regione Siciliana – Dipartimento Regionale della Protezione Civile che con la sua visita, inaspettata ma tanto gradita, ha arricchito la giornata portando la sua esperienza in protezione civile prima da volontario e dopo da funzionario del dipartimento regionale.
